Pligg installation is quite good, built in features are low if I may say. The security is good. Performance is normal. It’s a great CMS for people who want to get easy visitors and want to let internet know about their site. Overall Pligg is a great social bookmarking CMS but i don't have any knowledge about their support.

Pligg CMS based website always being attacked by spammers.
Have you heard about that blackhat tool called the autopligg.
It is a really powerful tool that can spam pligg website.
And sadly, it become much more powerful than the pligg script itself. It has started to get a lot more attention as of late and I imagine that unless some major changes are made by the developers of Pligg, it doesn’t bode well. This tool has been around for long enough that Pligg’s developers and community should have come up with actionable solutions.
one of the biggest pains with the Pligg has always been the category manager. Adding categories was simple enough but it required a full page reload after you added a category, this is not an efficient method and a pain. Sub-categories were always the major problem, again a full page reload to add it, then dragging it usually twice and dropping it over the parent category, again a full page
reload each time. Pligg needs to tap into existing resources within the CMS and make this section ajaxed and create a better manager like SWCMS has.

Pligg is a CMS that i don’t like because of low flexibility. With this CMS you could only make a social bookmarking page. In other hand it is great because of Digg features that can bring you more visitors. Overall Pligg is not CMS that i recommend for you to use if you would like to built a complete website.

This is a great system that I use for my jazz community. It functions just like Digg and has a similar look. It's great for specific niches that have a large following from other websites. That way you can come in and become a middle man who controls that niche by allowing others to submit content. I would suggest this to anyone including my worse enemy. I Pligg it!!
