Pligg is a Digg clone that adds social book marking functionality to websites, allowing users to post links, vote them up or down, and leave comments. It is primarily influenced by the most popular English technology site Digg, where when a user submits a news article which is then placed in the “upcoming” area until it gains sufficient votes to be promoted to the main page. Pligg is an open source CMS that can be downloaded and used for free. Pligg CMS provides social networking software that encourages visitors to register on website so that they can submit content and connect with other users.
